Dear collected wisdom:
I recently bought a software tuner that had support for non-equal temperaments. One of the preset temperaments under the Meantone menu is 1/6 SC Attenuated. I assume, perhaps wrongly, that 1/6 SC is 1/6 Syntonic Comma, which I assume is 6 Comma Meantone.
But if I'm correct so far, what the heck is "Attenuated"? I've written the company that makes the tuner, but there's been no reply for a few days, and my curiosity is getting the best of me.
