Do as Howard suggests. Go right round the edges of the soundboard pressing in gently with the ball of your thumb (it's often the ends of bars that become unstuck). One tell-tale sound is a little click as you press. Also try plucking one of the guilty courses whilst pressing down on the soundboard very gently with a few fingers in an area where the noise seems to be coming from and then releasing. If the sound becomes clearer and the 'weird resonance' stops whilst your damping the soundboard, that is another indication of a possible loose bar. Sometimes increases in humidity will make the problem disappear. Best, Matthew
