Collective Sagacity: While playing through some of the Lute Society's "70 Easy to Intermediate Pieces" I was was surprised by a familiar sounding "Currente" (p. 7, no. 13; D-B 4022, f. 40v). It seems to be a very basic version of "Brettes corante" (ML Book, f. 3v)no variations. Any ideas about authorship or concordances? Which came first? and who is Brett??
