Currently I recommend Ext3/4 for /boot and for removable devices that are shared between Linux systems. For reasonably new systems I recommend BTRFS for every situation where ZFS isn't better, which mostly means every situation where you have only 2 disks or less than 8G of RAM. > Planning to have a / and /home partition, and swap for hibernation. > Or is this partition scheme bad? If you use BTRFS then I think that a single partition with multiple subvolumes is the better option.
