In the past I've thrown a cheap and cheerful TPLink in bridge mode at a
few situations and seen them work stably. I think the model was 8810.

Once they're up and running, if you tweak the ethernet interface on
your server and add appropriate routes, you can still access the telnet
interface on the modem to check things like SNR or reboot it etc.

Last I checked it cost about $30-40 :D ... I wouldn't run it as a
router (even though it can do it) though..
