apparently the first few OCZ models were crap, but then so were the
first few models of most other brands....lack of TRIM support, firmware
bugs.

from what i've read this hasn't been a problem in recent years,
including the OCZ Vertex 3 and the OCZ Vector model I mentioned.

I certainly hope so, I just bought a 256GB OCZ Vector to replace the
128GB Patriot Torqx in my main machine (haven't got around to it yet,
have been stufffing around with my new asus notebook instead)
