Matthew: .. yeah I kinda new parsing ls was bad. I'd originally tried to do this piping dpkg -L to find, but couldn't seem to come up with a method of doing that that work Find is probably also the wrong tool for the job. Jason: Good suggestion, using [ is clearly the right tool for testing if something is executable or not. Trent: >Why do you want to find "all executables" ? I knew there was something to convert rst to html on my system, I figured it would be in docutils, but I had no idea what it was called.
