I don't think that K9 allows you to have multiple sender addresses in a single 
account.  But it does let you have multiple accounts and use the correct 
sender address for each one.  The Gmail option seems better than the apparent 
functionality of K9 in this regard.

Tty mail on an Android device isn't a viable option.  RTT times make shell 
sessions a PITA at the best of times and the apparent inability of the most 
common ssh client to change font makes it more unpleasant.
