It didn't log to syslog?  That's poor form.

But yes, I do have a cron.hourly check script for zpool.  It hasn't yet
been excercised in anger (I kinda want to see whether it lights the
correct red LED in my little NAS box though - I'm proud of that little
script and kernel module :).
