Hi Lindsay
I've been using Linux for about the same time.
I have been using Gigabyte motherboards for years with no problem so far.
My current one is 945GCM-S2L has been working pretty well for a long
time now, it's old and only 2 gig memory but it takes virtually anything
I throw at it.
