I'm looking for suggestions, if you have them.
I want a personal organiser that is organised. Go figure.
Did the organiser know that Mohammed and Cathy were dating? Did you?
Yes. However your data is available to you it is up to you to make the
relationships yourself. You cannot off load meaning to a device or
service without expressly giving it that meaning - Goolge has circles,
phones have contact groups, etc. - but YOU have to make them.
And I want my contacts, notes, tasks, calendar, events, projects all
interconnected and cross referenced with the ability to link to bloody
anything else.
There are many free and non free tools and services that will provide
you with these channels but there is no OMLL (Organise My Life Language)
that is common to them all. To maximize their benefit (without writing
the digital wheel) you have to consume and learn about what is already
out there.
As someone who writes CRM with all of the stuff you mention my
experience is that every user has to get on board with the product and
learn how they can benefit from it.
....that being said.
LG G3 phone.
I just bought one and when I set it up and a pop-up said "Import from
FB|LI|GMail|etc" I just said yes. I exported my iPhone contacts and
sucked them in too. I have this mini tablet with a database on it and a
whole whack of other benefits that I am liking.
Sure I still have to organise myself but it is far closer to what you
describe than any single app and as I learn its ways I am more and more
impressed.
Hope this helps!
