Reply-All is a pain on a mailing list, because of the extra To: and Cc: addresses that are sent to by default (unless manually removed), but some MUAs have a "Reply List" feature, which has the desired effect of generating a single reply to the list. Works really well on lists like this one (i.e. without Reply-To: munging), I can have all 3 options: Reply - replies to the sender Reply List - replies to mailing list only Reply All - replies to the list and sender(s) FWIW, I use Thunderbird. And yes, Reply-To: munging breaks this badly. > > Reply-sender MUA semantics is the normal and intended, > standards-compliant way to respond to sender only. History and an ever present stream of noobs mean Reply-To: munging will linger for a long time, even though we have both the mailing list and MUA software to properly handle all replies without having to munge anything. :( -- 73 de Tony VK3JED/VK3IRL http://vkradio.com _______________________________________________ luv-main mailing list [email protected] http://lists.luv.asn.au/listinfo/luv-main
