It is dying.  You want to get the data off ASAP.  Use ddrescue to copy it to a 
disk of equal size or larger and then you can fsck.  Don't run fsck when the 
disk is giving errors, that will probably make things worse.

Keep the system reasonably cool and copy the data quickly.  You don't know how 
long the disk will last before it totally fails.
