If the hardware runs Linux or can be used to run Linux then this list is appropriate. At the moment I've had people ask me for a couple of Linux gaming systems. While dual-core systems (which I have in my spares pile) are mostly OK for that I'd rather get quad-core systems if possible to keep them going for longer. If you have some spare quad-core systems then I'd be happy to take them and find a good home for them. I have plenty of RAM and hard drives so happy to take systems without RAM or storage. I would also like to have a Mac for fooling around with. > I know that there is a hardware library of some sort (is that still > current?) but I was wondering if there was a place where people list > hardware for others to take/use? The "hardware library" fits into a brief case that I take to meetings. Anyone who has stuff to donate that fits into the case can just deposit it. I also accept donations of PCs by arrangement as I am not always able to transport PCs (I sometimes take public transport). I can't attend the November main meeting but could arrange to get stuff later in November. > It seems I'm increasingly inundated with free hardware lately, but honestly > I'm fine with the machines I have and don't want to take on any more > computers (I only have 2 hands!). Parts that are of particular interest include DDR3 RAM (for laptops and desktops), SSDs, SATA disks 500G and bigger, FullHD monitors, and USB devices.
