Probably the most likely risk is the risk your home Internet connection goes offline, and not being able to fix it for days++ while trying to get your upstream provider to fix you ADSL/NBN connection. During which period nobody can resolve your IP addresses. This can be mitagated to some degree by having backup DNS servers located elsewhere (which is probably a good idea anyway). I have had people try to DOS me and max out my bandwidth just because I have an exposed (but secure) SIP port. Never had this happen for DNS however. -- Brian May <[email protected]> https://linuxpenguins.xyz/brian/ _______________________________________________ luv-main mailing list [email protected] https://lists.luv.asn.au/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/luv-main
