Probably the most likely risk is the risk your home Internet connection
goes offline, and not being able to fix it for days++ while trying to
get your upstream provider to fix you ADSL/NBN connection. During which
period nobody can resolve your IP addresses.

This can be mitagated to some degree by having backup DNS servers
located elsewhere (which is probably a good idea anyway).

I have had people try to DOS me and max out my bandwidth just because I
have an exposed (but secure) SIP port. Never had this happen for DNS
however.
