I have a HP DL350 G5 2RU server I don't need that I'd like to lend out for
educational purposes.

Above are the specs, 2*X5460 CPUs, 20G RAM, and 2*320G SATA disks. It has all
the server features you expect and runs the same management software as G8
servers (G10 is the latest and G9 is what I'm using for my own workstation).

Anyone who wants to learn about the features of enterprise class servers can
borrow this from me for a few months. Just return it to me or to someone else
who wants to learn when you are finished with it. Try not to break it, but if
it does break then that's a learning experience too (much better than breaking
production hardware).

It takes 2.5" SAS or SATA disks. So if you have a laptop that you upgraded
from a hard drive to SSD then you could add the laptop hard drive to it. The
more drives you have the more you can learn about RAID.

The above blog post describes how to use Debian on a HP G8 server and those
instructions work on a G5 server (I read my own blog post because I forgot the
details of the commands over the last 2 months).
