I would like to hear from anyone who has successfully created a photo book using Wine + some windows offering. There is a photobook company in Germany which has a Linux version of its software, Pixum. Unfortunately it will not post outside of Europe, and postage rates are pretty high for real books. Momento Pro has a great reputation but is Windows and Mac only.

I guess it depends on what your looking for.

A few years ago I made a photo book using the open source 'Scribus'  (it should be in your linux repo)  and sent the resultant .pdf to blurb for publishing. I got the result I was looking for and was happy with the result.

If you've never used Scribus before there might be a little bit of a learning curve. When I'm ready to make another book, I would go the same route.

My mother uses artscow,  .. you have to create to book using their software which is browser based, not sure how well it's supported in Linux.

If you sign up with either of these book sites they will send you 'deals' periodically in the email.

Steve
