I am hoping to join (for at least a while) despite time-zone skew,
towards which end, please forgive my faulty memory, but I cannot
remember where online LUV currently hold meetings.

There may be a few items of LUV public outreach needing attention.
E.g., I thought, "Ah, I'll just look in the archives for the online
meeting location." The Mailman3 footer no longer seems to point to the
archives, as it did with Mailman2:

So, I thought, "Ah, well, I'll find it via the LUV Web site.
https://www.luv.asn.au/ has a Mailing Lists link, going to
https://lists.luv.asn.au/mailman3/postorius/lists/ . Selecting any
mailing list, such as this one, brings up a new-style-as-of-MM3
"listinfo" page, such as
https://lists.luv.asn.au/mailman3/postorius/lists/luv-main.luv.asn.au/
At first, I was perplexed as the normal (MM2-style) archives link seemed
to be missing, then I noticed "Archives" on a top navbar (very
non-traditional place). Selecting that goes to a top-level Hyperkitty
(new MM3 archiver) container page, not a mailing list-specific one:
https://lists.luv.asn.au/mailman3/hyperkitty/

And there, the latest luv-main posting included in the back-postings
archive is one by Russel on 16 Jan 2021 -- so it appears that archiving
has been broken for a while.

In truth, before following the "Mailing Lists" link on
https://www.luv.asn.au/ , I stopped at the FAQ, and note that the
mailing list links at https://www.luv.asn.au/faq/#The_LUV_mailing_lists
and many others in the FAQ got broken by the MM2 -> MM3 transition and
will need some attention, as opportunity permits.

It would be lovely if https://twitter.com/linuxusersvic had upcoming
event venue/date/time details, and also the Events link on
https://www.luv.asn.au/, which currently shows no upcoming events.

I notice that LUV participate in Meetup.com , e.g.,
https://www.meetup.com/Linux-Users-of-Victoria/events/jnbsfsyccnbhb/
claims there's one coming up on Tu 5 Oct. 2021 about "Software
Packaging".

There's a default setting in Meetup where the details of how to attend
an event (in this case, an online one) are displayed only to logged-in
persons using Meetup, Inc. logins. I understand the advantages of this
setting, but one regrettable effect is that people like me who find
Meetup, Inc. excessively obnoxious (as, e.g, a spam-source) and long ago
deleted our Meetup logins, cannot get meeting details via the event
listings.

Anyway, would someone be kind enough to post the online meeting
location? Thank you kindly.

Cheers, Grammarian's bar joke #24: A verb walks into a bar,
Rick Moen sees a beautiful noun, and suggests they conjugate.
[email protected] The noun declines.
