Thanks Keith and Brian,

I was wondering how the InSynch app would somehow lose the link to the RAID drive. It felt a bit like this: (this is the app speaking)

"Since the reboot/poweroutage/shutdown I can't find this base folder, I cant find the drive either. keep looking, keep looking, (after some time has passed there is some activity, maybe read/write , which reveals the drive)
....... aaah there it is , I can sync now!"

This was happening before the authentication update issue, but I have turned on the access. Then after a couple of hours the InSynch app has started working and it is very fast.

So the question is "Is the RAID drive effectively sleeping until a data event wakes it up?"

Thanks for the help with this.

Andrew

Could this be caused by Google's new security process that uses a mobile
phone for authentication? And if so how can I handle it, please?
Might be relevant:

But apparently they suspended this last year. I didn't know that.
