Sticking to free software has been the simplest and most effective
adblocking method for me so far. Start with a freer system like Lineage
OS, get all your apps from f-droid, block javascript by default either
with the Fennec browser (available on f-droid) that come installed with
noscript or the stock browser on Lineage that has a switch to disable
JS. With that you don't need pihole, or ublock or ad-blocking apps. Be
free and enjoy!
