Hi there,

This affects most large sites like Xero or ANZ where it shows the grey bar with a URL it is trying to import (Xero google-stuff, A site of mine fontawesome, tinymce, etc.),  into the HTML document. After a minute or so the white screen remains and it is hit or miss if I get a loaded page back.

I have upgraded Chrome since seeing this. (Same for other web browsers like Edge on Ubuntu).

I am currently using both browsers side by side on code that I've written and it is very hit and miss even reloading the same page or hitting back. Before Christmas this application and Xero were very quick.

I just tested one line out of the document and as expected it was fine:

https://code.jquery.com/jquery-3.6.0.min.js

In making a view source >> saved to test.html has the same white screen issue. Before Christmas the server rendered copy would be under a second. This local copy of the HTML and remote waterfall show the network components being loaded but the rendering takes forever on both test browsers most of the time.

I never use Edge and have cleared the cache of Chrome but still the same issue on both. Hot, hot, hot then crickets (in the typing of this it has happened over and over again).

Same for AWS as well. Seems only HTTP/S is affected. Other protocols work fine.

Sorry for the long post but I feel it is something network related on my machine. Others in the household are fine. NBN and router is a few months old.

Any ideas how debug this?

Tried sudo apt-get --fix-missing and then update/upgrade but it hasn't changed a thing.

Thanks

Piers
