You raise some important matters, which are causing confusion, and probably haven't (yet) been discussed fully enough. My suggestion is that we put these on the agenda for the upcoming LUV Main meeting (rebadged as LUV Town Hall meeting), which should be some time in February (not announced yet). Taking a higher-level view, I think that the over-arching problem is lack of engagement by LUV members. It's always been in my experience (in part on the LUV committee) that most members don't do much. And, fair enough, people have lives to live, and even just being a member is a small positive contribution. Some more will attend meetings and contribute on the mailing lists, etc. Only a relative few do the real work required to keep LUV going. This situation has become worse since the Covid pandemic, and affects many similar groups. You, Sae Ra, will I'm sure be aware of this phenomenon. Right now I have to run to a class, so I'll leave it there for now. I'll try to address your particular concerns later on today (might slip till tomorrow). I will, though, remind everyone that the Penguin Picnic (rebadged as LUV BBQ) coming up on 31st January, is a good opportunity to revive LUV comradeship, at least for those who live locally enough. I hope to see as many as possible of you there. Don't forget optionally to RSVP to help with catering. https://linuxvictoria.org/posts/2026-01-31_luv-bbq/ — Smiles, Les. _______________________________________________ luv-main mailing list -- [email protected] To unsubscribe send an email to [email protected]
