Today I moved the luvit.io and lit.luvit.io servers to a new vm. It is still hosted at the Dallas Rackspace data center, but it no longer shares the box with creationix.com or howtonode.org. They were causing some instability issues.
If you publish any packages while the DNS changes propagate things might look different from different locations/times. If you want the new DNS now and your provider hasn't picked it up, the new IP for luvit.io and lit.luvit.io is 23.253.227.83. (You can add this to /etc/hosts on linux/osx).
