In linux the packets don't come from the lo, they come out of the eth0.
Maybe it's the same in *BSD? The lo is just a device so the host can have
the IP.

Wouldn't the encapsulated IP packet from director be received in a tun
interface ( rather than eth0 )
in the case of Linux real server ?
