That's completely right. When using
heartbeat rpms / debs, only install heartbeat-ldirectord (+deps) and start it on boot-up using /etc/init.d/ldirectord init script.
Ach ... Yes, ofcourse. Now why didn't i think of that? :) Thanks, i'll do that instead. You should have no problem using ldirectord without heartbeat.
