http://sourceforge.net/projects/ipvsman ipvsman/d does the same as ldirectord or keepalived. But it comes with a GUI to setup and control the loadbalancing in realtime. I think ipvsman is a good way especially for a beginner to setup an ipvs based loadbalancing system.
