when the new behaviour for REDIRECT was discovered (it took 
a while, it never occured to us that it would change), we 
talked to Harald Welte about it at OLS and we realised that 
it would take a lot of recoding for LVS to back out the 
change. We decided we could live without REDIRECT.

I expect it would be some work.
