Hi,

There are a number of bug fixes and improvements to the tcp/ip stack and the
new slub memory manager with anti fragmentation and lumpy reclaim code in the
newer kernels. http://kernelnewbies.org/Linux_2_6_23

One of the advertized features of slub is that you can turn on debugging with
just a reboot and slub_debug on the kernel command line turns on debugging:
http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux-2.6.git;a=blob;f=Documentation/vm/slub.txt

collectl has been updated to support slub reporting in the past couple of
days. http://collectl.sourceforge.net/

I don't have 10 mbits of traffic, but Fedora 8 x64_86 2 GB RAM has been stable
for directors for me.
