I am using raw APIs without RTOS, and all outputs are done in callbacks.
So far, I can communicate with lwip after the incident.
Sometimes it takes a long time to run before this happens, and I have to
stop and resume wireshark a few times to minimize the disk consumption

Maybe it is just me, but I can't access your link.
Can you post the wireshark capture ?
Also, can you please describe exactly what you are doing and in which
environment ? lwIP 1.4.1 has 3 different APIs, you might or not have an
RTOS, you might be not paying attention to single-threading rules for
low-level functions and trashing your memory, your application might be
trashing memory.
