Sorry to trouble you again about the issue of the slow answering from
the web server.
Do you think it is a possible error in the code of the httpd web server
code as I described it ? If so I would open a ticket in the bug tracker.

lwIP is a piece of code written by many volunteers, mostly in their free
time. It's not exactly a young project and yes, you can feel the age of
the code.
Instead of complaining, why don't you help making it better?
