Which version are you running? The fix for this was pushed pretty recently so you may want to just build your own package, or patch /usr/bin/lxc-start-ephemeral yourself with the last few commits from git HEAD to src/lxc/lxc-start-ephemeral.in.
I'm running 1.0.7. I did a "pacman -Syu" this morning to get the 3.18.4 kernel, so that LXC is the latest available in Arch's repos. I'll try patching my lxc-start-ephemeral and see if it helps. Thanks for the info!
