Hm, here's an idea. Lxc sets /proc/sys/net/ipv4/conf/$link/forwarding. Perhaps that isn't enough. You might echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/conf/eth0/forwarding and /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward.
