The documentation I periodically update is at https://help.ubuntu.com/13.04/serverguide/lxc.html but this isn't mentioned there. I'd like to see about making it more robust, so hopefully this will be fixed at some point. We can probably restrict the name substitution to only happen in the container name and file paths - though even that can be problematic in some cases.
