hi, I just wanted to share my satisfaction with LXDE here. Since i've been
using it on Fedora 10 its been fast and efficient on my PIII-700 laptop with
256MB of ram. I just had a few thoughts:
Back when I used XFCE it was supposed to be the fast alternative GUI, but it
strayed away from much of this and went its own way, often people feel
adding more and more features as a good thing, it got slower and its
resemblance to CDE became more distant. I hope LXDE won't also suffer this
way by going the same path.
As for features, the only extra thing I find missing is an ability to add
icons to the desktop that launch applications, but whatever it takes to keep
low on cpu and ram the better, thanks.
