I believe it is more "Higher compression levels, yield smaller file sizes,\n" "but may result in longer saving time."
Note that PNG is a _lossless_ format, that is to say no information is ever lost ! The only way information may be lost, is if you define another colour space (especially a reduced palette-based space) If we can change only this string, I agree to include that even if string freeze was declared (only) some hours ago. 2009/5/19 PCMan <[email protected]>: > Oooooooops.... > I saw it after string freeze..... > Any suggestions? > > On Tue, May 19, 2009 at 7:59 PM, helix84 <[email protected]> wrote: >> Hello, did you get my message? >> >> ---------- Forwarded message ---------- >> From: helix84 <[email protected]> >> Date: Sun, May 17, 2009 at 23:53 >> Subject: Re: [LXDE Translation] GPicView 0.2 will be released soon. >> To: "The mailing list for translators of LXDE and its components." >> <[email protected]>, PCMan <[email protected]> >> Cc: lxde-list <[email protected]>, Marty Jack >> <[email protected]>, Ox Aric <[email protected]> >> >> >> #: ../src/file-dlgs.c:119 >> msgid "" >> "Higher compression levels yield smaller file sizes,\n" >> "but the image quality will be poorer." >> >> >> This seems to be related to PNG.
