I just made a checkin that should solve the systray growth.  There is still an 
issue that after you delete a plugin where there is an icon grid, that you can 
get GTK assertions.  The previous way I had the code working was intended to 
solve that, but caused this other problem.  I am not yet sure if the GTK 
assertions are something I did or a bug in GtkLayout where gtk_container_remove 
doesn't do the right thing.  On to the next.
