BTW, lightdm's signal handling is broken, too. Any signals between
setting up the signal handler and entering the main loop will be
discarded (i.e. g_main_loop_quit is called on a NULL pointer).
I'm not even sure g_main_loop_quit is async-safe, but even if it
is, calling it from within the signal handler is a bad idea for
the above reason.
