$ cat status
Discharging

Me neither, which leads me to believe that the ac100's acpi interaction
is iffy.

What does 'acpi -b' return on your machine?
$ acpi -b
Battery 0: Charging, 92%, 417:00:00 until charged

(that charging time is a bug, too, so it would seem the acpi
interface/implementation might need a bit of work, still)
