Hi Nomnex,

I am hearing a lot on this list about lxpanelx being a more actively maintained 
lxpanel fork with more bugs fixed. Maybe it can fix your bugs too?

I am not an expert and have not tried lxpanelx myself, but if lxpanel is so 
problematic to you it might be worth a try.
