If I remember correctly, lxsession used to support session saving but it 
wasn't re-implemented in lxsession-lite, from which current versions of 
lxsession descend.

(I don't remember what was wrong with the main lxsession branch. Written 
in a way that was hard to maintain, perhaps?)
