This sounds like an interesting option. If the group puts together a list of needs or specific software packages, people could choose one or more of those to support when they make a donation. The above entity seems to offer some liability protection to developers of FOSS. Plus, what might be more interesting still, not having to deal with paperwork. Anybody knows someone from a project that has used their services and can comment on them?
