I've taken the liberty of creating a new module - 'lxqt-powermanagement' in
lxqt on github. It contains all the code from the old razor-autosuspend and
razor-screenlocker. I've done some reorganisation: razor-autosuspend is now
spit into two applications:
- 'lxqt-battery which monitors the battery and performs various actions
(suspend, hibernate, shutdown) when battery is low.
- lxqt-lid which monitors the laptop-lid an perfoms actions when it is
closed.
I've renamed razor-screenlocker into 'lxqt-idleness'. I plan to add
functionality so that 'idleness' can do more than lock the screen. I
imagine, as an example, it should be possible to configure that after, say
5 minutes idleness the screen is dimmed, and after 5 more minutes the pc is
suspended.
The naming is not cast in stone - it's more like working titles for now.
I'm sure we can have some fun bikeshedding about this :-)
For now, i keep one config-application.which configures both 'battery' and
'lid'. I plan to add configuration of 'idleness' to this.
Status on lxqt-powermanagement is that it compiles and the applications
runs with liblxqt and libqtxdg. There is a long todo list though -
translations, theming,... and more.
I propose we delete the repositories 'razor-autosuspend' and
'razor-screenlocker'. Does anybody know how?
I have also fixed up lxqt-lightdm-greeter so that it compiles and runs with
liblxqt. It should in a state where it can be used as a greeter for
lightdm. I'll do some proper documentation soonish, but briefly:
- build lxqt-lightdm-greeter with 'cmake', 'make' and 'make install'
- put
greeter-session=lxqt-lightdm-greeter
in /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf
- Configure lxqt-lightdm-greeter's looks by
editing /etc/lightdm/lxqt-lightdm-greeter.conf
