Hi all,

I've been looking around a lot @qml and qt extensions. There was a
thread on this list about dconf in August. What came to my mind about
your proposal: "it's best if dconf would write to the binary cache +
to an ini file at the same time in case the cache breaks" is that if
it breaks you have to manually edit stuff. Wouldn't it be nicer and
easier to make a backup from the binary stuff e.g once an hour and if
it breaks give the user a recovery/revert option. Also what I found
lately:
https://code.launchpad.net/~system-settings-touch/gsettings-qt/trunk

It's quite new but unfortunately it directly depends on gsettings.

Regards,
Damian
