correct, partially ;)

I'm that one who's responsible for qterminal/qtermwidget for now. And I
have to say - I use this application daily as the main working tool (git
version).
I'm just lazy/undecided to release new version - I don't know if it's
mature enough for other users too.

Also - there are some bug reports/feature requests recorded at github
tracker but personally I do not take them as "it's affecting me" so my
priority to implement it is quite lowered.

Basically - whoever provides a patch/pull request it will be probably
merged almost immediately.

There are some let's say "junior jobs" mainly located in qterminal
tracker handling basic Qt stuff like "hide menu bar" etc.
On the other side - qtermwidget requests are much more interesting and
even harder to implement as it's quite low level area. But it contains
some easy tasks too like "provide cmake module for qtermwidget etc."
