For a Qt desktop, many people are using qmmp for music playing. Being lightweight on memory, there are some known bugs which cause high cpu usage of qmmp. I found solutions to improve it and did some patches so I share the info in a blog post. http://blog.lxde.org/?p=1095 If anyone reading this list is using qmmp, you may try if the solutions work for you.
