Is there a "toggling" version of the 'lxpanelctl menu' command, i.e.,
one which will open the menu if it's closed and close it if it's open?

If not, would it be possible for one to be added?

I'm experimenting with trying to produce a Linux UI which works as much
as possible like the standard Windows UI. At least initially, I'm using
LXDE as the base from which to build.

It's relatively simple to bind the Win key (Super_L) to 'lxpanelctl
menu', but that doesn't fully reproduce the Windows Start-menu behavior.
Pressing the Win key with that binding will open the LXDE menu, but
pressing it again will not close it.

The Windows Start menu is a "toggling" type; pressing the Win key when
the menu is closed opens it, and pressing it when the menu is open
closes it. (The event actually seems to fire when the key is released,
not when it is pressed, but that's a separate issue - albeit one I'll
also need to solve.)

Without such a toggle, properly imitating the Windows behavior here will
not be possible. (I imagine I might be able to write a wrapper script
which would try to detect the menu state, open it if closed, and do
something to close it if open, but that seems clunky at best and I'm far
from certain it would actually be workable.)
