The status hasn't changed. Basically, we no longer recommend
appswitcher to be shipped in with LXQt, however it is still available
and people can still use it.

I should have specified: The 0.7.0 release is only available from
Github, and is not available from lxqt.org/downloads. The git
repositories are still both there.

The appswitcher has been in pure maintenance mode for over a year now;
there's no reason to believe it will receive any more love. Maybe it
will get another release if that radically changes, however there's no
practical reasons to keep it in the default set if it's just going to
be disabled and recommended against.
