No, that is not possible at this moment. I think though it can be
made possible using some command line option on lxpanel later. This would
require adding some code handling that command line option and keystrokes
and that could be implemented in some future version of lxpanel if you
need this. I think though it is impossible to access only some plugins on
the panel while to not access other plugins so not only the tray will be
accessible in that case but menu, launchers, taskbar, etc. too.
