Nice that you were looking at FLTK and I agree that your reasoning around
the choice of the toolkit (ruling out FLTK for LXxx) is sound.

Indeed having alternatives is good and thanks for the suggestion.

Their project apparently made a lot of progress since I checked last time.
Hope this will also contribute to improvements in FLTK.

For people using mutt, dillo and alike the "footprint pollution" from
the applications which use heavier toolkits may be non-existing. For
such users the footprint of the DE itself makes a big difference. EDE
certainly helps filling that niche, which LXQt does not have to.
