Regarding the icon-grid branch: I did not look at your replacement to what's in master, but the original implementation was *really* hard to understand. If you've made it simpler, then go for it.
Regarding wp-up: I think the changes I've made in converting to the new panel plugin API are not ready to be in master. I would stick with the original implementation which uses legacy panel plugin API. Thanks, again, for keeping this thing going.
